Bookings

FAQ

Yes you can book a 10-40 man choir, a 4 man quartet, or a karaoke-backed soloist.

The choir focuses in barbershop harmony, which is a sub-genre of Pop, but features contemporary pieces as well. Quartets have a wider reach, while soloists cater to all genres. Specific song selections are dependent on current repertoire, time necessary to rehearse new music prior to performance, and individual skill level. Please email sing@TacomaVocalStandard.com for specific booking details.

Rates are established on an individual basis and are dependent on type of event, location, travel time, number of singers required, number of songs requested, and other variables. Discount rates are given to non-profits and charitable organizations, and lower rates are set for soloists and quartets vs. the entire choir. For specific pricing information, please contact sing@TacomaVocalStandard.com.

All guests are always welcome! Whether you’re a singer or simply interested in what we do, we invite you to our weekly rehearsals in Allen Hall in Bellarmine Preparatory School. We meet every Tuesday from 6:30-9:30PM.

When you visit, feel free to have a cup of complimentary coffee, water, and snacks; meet our members and other guests; ask questions and soak in the friendship. We will provide you a Guest Book of music that contains the music we will be singing for the session. You may choose to sing in one of our four sections, ranked from highest pitch to lowest: Tenor, Lead, Baritone, or Bass. Many new members begin in the Lead section as it often contains the melody, and generally is the easiest to sing for beginners.

Eventually we’ll discuss whether you would like to become a member, but make sure to ask us to sing a “tag” long before that! Details aside, we hope you come check us out, we’re a group of friends that have a fun passion for singing together and are always looking for more friends to join us where Music meets Community.
